In 1830, a wealthy man named Khwaja Alimullah bought this place and built a mosque on the property. His son Khwaja Alimullah named the property after his son Ahsan Ullah as “Ahsan Manzil”.

The eastern side of this fort is known as ‘Rangmahal’ where girls from different places and countries used to come here and entertain the main owner by dancing and singing.
