British Airways Sleep pods at Heathrow Airport:

In partnership with Restworks, British Airways embedded seven sleep pods named “Forty Winks” in their First Lounge in terminal 5 of Heathrow Airport. The new sleep pods also known as Energy pods have technologically advanced unique features like zero-gravity positioning that will help people to sleep faster.

The energy pods also include privacy visors, ambient light, reclining advantage, and dedicated audio content. Inside the energy pods, customers can set time according to their needs or use the pre-setup 20-minute time duration alarm.

Currently, British Airways has sleep pods only in their First Lounge but they are planning to install more sleep pods in Heathrow’s Concorde room. 

Who is eligible for using British Airways Energy pods:

British Airways sleep pods are only available to the First Lounge eligible customers. The people who have access to the First lounge in terminal 5 can use the sleep pods for a certain time. You will be eligible for entering the First Lounge if any one of the following criteria is fulfilled:

  • Flying with a first-class ticket on British Airways
  • If you are a gold member of the British Airways Executive Club, you can enter the First lounge as well as will be eligible for using the sleep pods.
  • Emerald Member of any frequent flyer programs on British Airways flights or one of any Oneworld airlines.

Emerald members are allowed to take one guest in the First lounge but the guest must need to be flying with British Airways or any Oneworld alliance airline. 

How can you book British Airways sleep pods at Heathrow Airport?

Pre-booking of British Airways sleep pods is not available. The sleep pods are on a self-service basis and free to use for First Lounge-eligible travelers. 

Customers can check the availability of a pod using the “Your Menu” lounge app or on the outside screen at the entrance of sleep pods.

Who can book capsule pods at Airside Bedrooms:

When Airside bedrooms are open for booking, anyone traveling through Heathrow Airport on any airline flight can book capsule pods at Airside bedrooms for a minimum stay of three hours. The operating time of the Airside Bedroom is 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
